Connecting via HDMI is the easiest and most convenient way to connect your TV and soundbar. An important condition: both devices must support HDMI ARC technology. This option allows you to provide reverse transmission of an audio signal when communicating with equipment via HDMI.
- With this function, the TV receives a signal from a DVD or Blu-ray player, a karaoke system with microphones, a game console or other device, separates the audio track and transmits it to the soundbar.
- Another use of the technology is to play a movie directly through the soundbar. In this case, the device separates and reproduces the audio signal, and sends it to the TV.
- Another convenience of connecting the soundbar to a TV receiver via HDMI with ARC technology. volume control is performed by the remote control from the TV panel.
To set up the connection, you must connect a high-speed HDMI cable of at least version 1.4 to the HDMI IN jack marked ARC on the soundbar and to the HDMI input marked ARC on the TV panel. Usually, additional manipulations are not required, since ARC technology is enabled by default on equipment, so you need to turn on the movie and check where the sound comes from. If sound is still heard from the TV speakers, this means that you need to turn on the desired function according to the instruction manual of the TV and soundbar.
Connecting the soundbar to a TV receiver
Before installing the soundbar on the wall, you need to inspect the equipment and mark the location of the connectors for connecting the cable.
You can connect the soundbar to the TV panel using optical, coaxial or analog inputs, via the headphone jack, Ethernet or HDMI, and also wirelessly.
Via Ethernet port
The Ethernet port allows you to connect the soundbar to the Internet or to a computer if a local home network is set up. This allows you to update the device software, as well as play multimedia content from a PC, smartphone or other equipment connected to the network. Internet access provides access to movies and TV series online. To use the network capabilities, the TV and soundbar must be connected to each other in such a way that the soundbar receives the signal, processes and plays the audio track, and sends it to the TV screen. This can be done via the HDMI connector.
- To connect the soundbar to a local network and the Internet, you need to run an Ethernet cable from your home router to the soundbar and connect to the connector of the same name.
- Next, they output the image from the soundbar to the TV receiver (via the HDMI connector with the ARC mark) and select on the TV to reproduce the signal from the corresponding HDMI input to receive the picture from the soundbar.
- Then in the soundbar settings you need to go to the “Network” section, find “New connection”, select the wired one. Depending on how the router is configured, the connection may be established automatically or you may need to manually enter the IP address, subnet mask, etc.
The setting for connecting to the Network on the soundbars of different brands may differ, therefore, for detailed information, see the operating instructions for the device.
By analog connection
If you cannot use the above connection methods, the connection uses the analog audio input and output connectors. These are red and white plugs. You must purchase a 2RCA-2RCA cable (or 3RCA-3RCA, in which case the yellow plug remains unconnected) and color-matched AUDIO OUT on the TV and AUDIO IN on the soundbar.
Via coaxial input
Coaxial cable connections are another easy way to stream high quality audio to your soundbar. In this case, the TV must have a Digital Audio Out (Coaxial) output (orange or black), the soundbar must have a Coaxial IN. Then you also need to purchase a wire, connect both connectors with it, turn on the equipment and set the audio signal output to an external audio device in the settings on the TV receiver.
Most soundbars are equipped with Bluetooth functionality, allowing you to connect to your phone, tablet, TV panel, or any other device that has the same capability. To set up a connection, you need to make sure that both devices have this technology. If it is only on the soundbar, an external Bluetooth receiver should be connected to the TV. To configure the connection, you need to launch the soundbar and select “Bluetooth” from the list of signal sources. Next, on the TV, you need to enable the same function, start the search for wireless devices and, when the soundbar appears in the list, click on it to establish a connection.
If the Bluetooth technology allows you to transmit only the audio signal to the TV, then via Wi-Fi the same possibilities open up as when connecting via Ethernet. To access the Network via Wi-Fi, you need to display the image from the soundbar on the TV screen via HDMI, open the network settings of the soundbar, find a wireless connection, start a search and select the home network in the list of available networks, and then enter the password for the connection. The procedure may differ on the technique of different brands. After establishing a connection on the soundbar, you can watch content online, while the audio signal will be played in the speakers of the device, and the image will be displayed on the TV screen.
All possible ways to connect the soundbar to your TV
The soundbar is the optimal solution for those cases when it is necessary to improve the sound quality of the TV receiver, but it is impossible to install a home theater because of the high cost or small size of the room. This device provides reproduction of clear and high-quality sound, but for its correct operation, you need to correctly install and connect the soundbar to the TV.
Via headphone jack
If the TV does not have an analog audio output, but there is a headphone jack, you can connect the equipment with a miniJack-2RCA cable. In this case, the first plug is connected to the headphone output on the TV panel, and the red and white tulips to the AUDIO IN input on the soundbar. The sound quality will be the same as with an analog connection.
How best to position the soundbar
A soundbar is a soundbar in an oblong casing, which often comes with a subwoofer. This technique is produced by many leading manufacturers of audio and equipment, but devices from brands such as LG, Sony, Samsung, Philips, etc. are more popular. The companies themselves recommend purchasing soundbars for their TVs as an alternative to their regular speakers, the sound of which often does not stand out for its quality.
The soundbar must be properly installed for optimal audio performance. The best solution is to hang it on the wall under the TV, or place it on a stand in front of it or one level below. Owners of fireplaces often place the soundbar on the mantelpiece.
When installed under the TV, the soundbar is approximately at the height of the viewer’s head, so the signal goes directly to them. In addition, this arrangement makes the high frequencies of the sound appear more voluminous and brighter.
What you need to connect
In addition to TV, you will need the following:
- Internet connection;
- instructions for the TV;
- network cable (if the TV does not have Wi-Fi).
If you have all this, then you can use one of the two available ways to connect your TV to the Internet. Let’s consider them. The direct method is characterized by additional difficulties, since it involves connecting the Internet cable to the Ethernet connector. after all, it needs to be beautifully brought to the TV.
An alternative option is a wireless connection (Wi-Fi). Naturally, this method is considered SIMpler and more affordable. Cables won’t get in the way.
Wireless connection is the best option. In principle, the aLGorithm for connecting a TV via a Wi-Fi adapter is the same as in the case of a cable. Except for a few important nuances:
- there is no need to pull the Ethernet cable from the router to the LAN port of the TV;
- during the software setup, you must select a wireless connection to a Samsung TV, LG TV or a device from any other manufacturer.
Manufacturers of television equipment strongly recommend giving preference to this particular option. Why? Let’s find out now.
First, you can connect additional devices, such as a tablet or smartphone. Synchronizing equipment will make the process of use even more convenient and practical. Secondly, you do not have to pull the cable through the entire apartment or house. Thirdly, if the cable is not properly “crimped”, then failures may occur. In the case of a wireless connection, this is completely excluded.
How to connect the Internet on the TV via Wi-Fi if a username and password are set? Almost always, after setting up the television equipment and choosing the type of connection, a window appears on the screen in which you need to specify your login and password. It would seem, what’s so difficult? But what if there is no remote keyboard at hand? Although modern TVs will display a keyboard, and with the help of it it will be possible to enter data, this is not very convenient to do.
To connect Smart TV to the Internet via Wi-Fi, use WPS. The essence of this aLGorithm is to confirm the connection without a username and password. When the authorization window appears, on the back of the router, press the thin button called WPS. As a result, authorization will be confirmed without entering a password.
Instructions for connecting any TV to the Internet
The process of connecting television equipment to the World Wide Web does not require special skills and experience, everyone can handle this work. In many ways, the procedure has been SIMplified by equipment manufacturers who produce quality devices with a SIMple setup system and an intuitively accessible interface. It is very easy to figure out how to connect a TV to the Internet.
Smart TVs have a direct connection to the Internet, they are equipped with a special platform, as well as a wide package of pre-installed applications, including a browser. For example, models running on the Android operating system provide the ability to download software from Google Play.
How do TVs without Smart TV connect to the Internet? Even the most ordinary plasma TV can be connected to the Internet, for this you need to first purchase a special Android set-top box. There are several ways to connect the Internet, let’s look at the main ones to find out which option is the most effective.
Connection via cable
Of course, you can connect the Internet to the TV by SIMply plugging the cable into the appropriate connector. However, if you need to enter a username and password, as well as additional server data, the web pages will not load. All modern models of television equipment have a system of connecting to the network almost SIMilar to a computer, but there are still certain differences. Therefore, it is wiser to connect a router to the TV. How to connect a TV to the Internet via a modem?
Step-by-step instructions for connecting a TV to the Internet via a router:
- Purchase and connect a router, if it has not been done before.
- Connect the Internet cable to the WAN connector located on the router.
- Next, you need to configure the router so that it connects to the Internet. This process depends on your ISP and router model. To do this, you need to connect to the router via a computer or laptop, using a different Ethernet cable, or via Wi-Fi. To open the settings panel, usually in the address bar of the browser you need to enter a combination of numbers 192.168.1.1 (0.1.).
- When the router is configured and the devices connected to it (computer, laptop, smartphone) access the Internet, you can start connecting the TV.
- We take a network cable and connect one end of it to the LAN connector of the TV, and the other to one of the free inputs on the router.
- When the bi-directional patch cord is connected, the corresponding load indicator on the router will light up corresponding to the selected port.
- When everything is done correctly, you can start programming the TV.
- We go to the main menu by pressing the corresponding button on the remote control (Menu or Keypad).
- Open the “Network” section and select the “Network Settings” subsection.
- Select the connection mode, in our case “Connection via cable” or “LAN”.
Actually, on this, the connection process can be considered complete. It remains to wait until the end of the automatic configuration of the direct connection, and also click “OK”.
What will give the TV connection to the Internet
Why waste your free time on this? The fact is that having access to the World Wide Web opens up an extensive list of additional options for the user:
- online playback of media content;
- Internet surfing;
- calls via Skype and various messengers;
- launching applications and games;
- watching sports broadcasts, news, TV programs, etc.
As you can see, connecting your LG TV to the Internet or a device from another manufacturer is definitely worth it. Since then you will be able to fully use the functionality of the technique. Naturally, you first need to choose a connection method, which will be discussed later.
If the TV does not connect to the Internet, and you followed all the instructions exactly, then contact the specialists who are setting up. they will solve the problem.
Connecting a TV without Smart TV
If you want to set up access to the World Wide Web on the most ordinary TV, then you may have certain problems. This applies not only to the implementation process, but also to additional financial costs. However, it is still possible to achieve the result.
The best option is to buy a Smart set-top box, which has its own operating system. As a result, an ordinary TV will become “smart”. The cost of pumping depends on the box you choose.
Naturally, the most popular are set-top boxes running on the Android OS. First, they are low cost. Secondly, they are more familiar to the domestic user. expensive and quality solution. Apple TV.
As for the process of attaching a set-top box, it is quite SIMple:
- We connect the device to the network.
- We connect the TV and TV box using an HDMI cable.
- Press on the remote control “Search for external source” and select the connected device.
- Setting up a network connection.
The software setup procedure directly depends on which particular set-top box the user chooses. They differ not only in hardware characteristics, but also in functionality, the number of pre-installed applications.
Using the attachment, we connect to the Wi-Fi router. If you need to specify a username and password, then log in using the WPS button. Although it is already much easier to enter the data for authorization in the STB.
How to connect a TV to the Internet without a set-top box? Whether it’s LG, Samsung, or another, it doesn’t matter. If you have no desire to spend money on the purchase of additional equipment. set-top boxes, then you should consider alternative options. For example, connecting a TV to a laptop or computer using HDMI.
The functionality will be the same as in the case of Smart TV, however, you will significantly save on financial costs, since the average. It is no wonder that most users consider this method of connecting ordinary TV to the Internet to be the most effective.
- On your tablet, open Settings. Go to the “Wireless networks” section. Turn on the “Wi-Fi Direct” function. To do this, click on the transparent square opposite the option. Work will start when a check mark appears in this box.
- Take your TV remote and open “Settings”. You need to go to the “Network” item. Turn on “Wi-Fi Direct”.
- Activate the “Enable” slider in the window that appears with the settings. From the list of available devices for connection, select your tablet and click on it.
If you want to use the tablet as a replacement for the TV remote control, you will need to download a special application. For example, “Mi Remote controller”.
In addition to image duplication, you get additional features:
- viewing photos;
- audio playback;
RCA cable (tulip)
A good option for the case where the TV does not have a single modern connector. Of course, the “tulip” is almost completely out of use, but this does not mean that duplicating the image from the tablet to the TV will not work. You just have to spend a little more time. The first problem is not the perception of a digital signal.
Older TVs are not designed for digital broadcasting with a direct connection, for example, through an adapter. Therefore, you will have to spend money on a prefix. It converts a digital signal stream from HDMI to analog for RCA. You can read the recommendations on choosing a set-top box for Smart TV by clicking on the link.
There are two connectors on the console, which will be used. HDMI on one side and RCA on the other.
- Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the corresponding jack on the set-top box, and the other into the tablet.
- On the other side of the attachment, connect the “tulip”.
As you can see, even on older TV models, you can find a connection method.
Most tablets can be used as DLNA server. What does it mean? TVs that support this function are able to receive information from your tablet storage via a WLAN network.
DLNA standard is a technology that connects gadgets. computers, phones, tablets, TVs, forming one large unified digital network. Being in it, the devices interact perfectly with each other. For example, watch TV from the tablet screen.
When using this function, the speed can vary. This will affect the quality and delay of the material on the screen. Of course, this will be most noticeable when watching or movies.
Can I connect my tablet to a TV?
“Is it possible to connect a tablet to a TV at all?”. it is possible, but there are some features that need to be taken into account in order to properly connect Android to a TV.
How do I connect my tablet to my TV? All methodsinstruction
Connecting a tablet to a TV is a great idea, but not everyone knows how to do it right. Having learned about this way of viewing, the question immediately arises: “How to connect the tablet to the TV, and is it possible at all?”.
The beauty of such a network connection is that you don’t need additional equipment in the form of a router. Also, with the help of this technology, the TV can act as a second monitor.
The image quality is at the highest level, despite the fact that 4K transmission is possible. But playing novelties of games, for example, shooters, races, however, in everything that requires high technical characteristics, will not work. The picture on the TV will slow down a little.
The connection is done in this way:
- On TV, open “Settings” to enable “Wi-Fi Direct” function.
- On your tablet, go to “Duplicate Miracast Display”.
- Start the process by clicking the “Start” button.
- The tablet display will show a list of devices available for connection.
- Find your TV model and select it.
If you follow all the steps, the picture from the tablet will immediately be displayed on TV.
However, with all the advantages of this option, you will have to spend a little on a special device resembling a USB flash drive, but with an HDMI connector. For example Chromecast.
Recommendations before connecting
There are no general rules for connection, since some models can broadcast an image from a tablet to a TV via Wi-Fi. With a wireless TV connection in their arsenal, many models save their owners from unnecessary red tape with wires. Also, you can completely forget about the variations of conductors.
But you shouldn’t give up on the wired option. This method even has a plus. transmission stability. since the Internet is not used for data transfer, which cannot be said about Wi-Fi. Therefore, if the network is unstable, it will be displayed in the picture.
However, let’s move on to the practical part to finally understand how to watch movies on TV from a tablet.
Tablet connection methods
Synchronizing an image between a TV and a tablet can go through several methods. Each of them has its own characteristics that you need to know about. Therefore, below you will find detailed instructions for each of them.
“How to display the image from the tablet to the TV via Wi-Fi? Is it real? ”- of course. The nice thing about wireless is that it doesn’t need wires at all. No difficulties with connection, purchase of adapters and other things. you can forget about it. over, all modern TV models (Smart TV) are equipped with a SIMilar function.
There are 2 ways to connect:
- Wi-Fi Direct;
- Wi-fi Miracast.
Let’s consider each of the presented methods in more detail.
You can connect a laptop to a TV set without any wires, using your home Wi-Fi network. it’s as easy as finding out where screenshots are saved on Windows. The advantages of the method are the absence of cables interfering with the movement and the ability to move the laptop to any convenient place in the coverage area. The main disadvantage is the need for a high-quality, stable and fast Internet connection, otherwise you won’t be able to watch a movie without jerks.
To connect a laptop to a TV using a wireless network, you need:
- Go to the TV menu, find the “Wireless Internet” section or SIMilar, select the name of the home network in it, enter the password and wait until the connection is established. If necessary, allow connection to the source. Call the “Start” menu on the computer and click on the gear icon.
- In the “Windows Settings” go to the “System” section.
- In the subsection “DisPlay” go down the page and find the heading “Multiple displays”, then click on the button “Detect”.
- If there is no automatic connection, the user needs to click on the link “Connect to a wireless display”.
- All available devices will be displayed in the search sidebar; usually the discovery process takes a few minutes.
- Now it is enough to agree with the pairing of the TV and laptop. and start watching your favorite movies and TV shows.
How to connect a TV to a laptop?
At this stage, you can turn on the TV or laptop or leave the equipment off. this, unless otherwise indicated, has no significant effect on the quality of the operations performed further. First, it is worth solving third-party problems that may interfere with the setup: for example, if the battery on the laptop does not charge or the TV “blinks”, you need to repair them. otherwise you will not be able to enjoy the results of the work.
You can connect a laptop to a TV using the following connectors, each of which requires the appropriate wires / cables:
- DVI. In terms of the quality of the transmitted picture, this option is in no way inferior to the previous one. Its main advantage is reliable fixation on the laptop wall, as in the old VGA-connectors. The most significant drawback is exotic: rare laptop models are equipped with DVI.
- Scart. Gives a fairly high-quality image without interference, ripples and other typical troubles. The Scart connector is found on most old and new TVs, but laptop manufacturers stubbornly ignore it. not least because of the size. The only available option is to purchase a cable, VGA-Scart, the first end of which is connected to a laptop (of course, if it has such an output), and the second to a TV set. However, as already mentioned, if both devices have HDMI connectors, no further research is required.
- VGA. A few years ago, this type of inputs and outputs was the main one, providing a relatively good image quality and the absence of significant defects. On laptops it is rare, on TVs it is also rare, but if the owner of the equipment is lucky twice and really does not want to use modern digital technologies, you can try. The indisputable advantage of VGA is a reliable fastening to the panel using built-in screws: it is impossible to pull the wire out of the connector without unscrewing them.
- RCA / S-Video. The well-known “tulips” and combined connectors that allow you to get a picture at the output that is far from ideal, but still acceptable. Inputs for RCA (most often. yellow, white and red; one for and two for audio) are available on the vast majority of TVs (old and new), but on laptops they are rare. Since the signal is converted from “digital” to “analog” during signal transmission, there is no need to count on high quality.
In addition to the “clean” options, there are many different adapters. the user, checking the availability of the appropriate connectors on the equipment, can choose any option that suits him. It is currently impossible to connect a laptop or netbook to a TV via USB: this standard does not provide for high quality streaming from one device to another.
What you need to connect a laptop to a TV?
In practice, connecting a TV set and a laptop or a netbook is no more difficult than going into the BIOS and getting used to fine-tuning the operating system: the owner of the equipment requires a minimum of knowledge, a cable or a working Wi-Fi point, patience and accuracy. Nothing else is needed, and the process itself, including configuration, will take from ten minutes to half an hour.
Despite popular belief, it is possible to connect from a laptop to an old TV. it may take a little more time, and the picture quality will not be so impressive, but there are no hopeless situations. which means you can start manipulating.
No special changes are required for the connected laptop. The user can add a few touches to the operation of the device:
- In the already known subsection “DisPlay” follow the link “Graphics settings”.
- In the upper and lower pop-up lists, select “Universal application” and “Connect”, respectively, and then click on the “Add” button.
- Enter “Options” and specify how intensively the laptop should work: the higher the selected performance, the more stable the picture on the TV screen will be.
How to connect laptop to TV?
A confident Windows user who knows how to start a hotspot or flip the screen on a laptop has probably noticed one significant drawback behind his laptop: it is too small to watch FullHD display. Of course, you won’t be able to “expand” it. but you can connect it to a TV and watch movies, clips and photos on the big screen. How to do it. let’s try to figure it out.
Features of setting up equipment after connecting
There shouldn’t be any difficulties with setting up the switched devices: modern manufacturers have provided for the maximum SIMplicity of connecting a TV and a netbook or laptop. Several recommendations will be given below, however, the owner of the equipment can leave everything as it is. in most cases this is enough.
On a TV connected to a laptop, you can adjust the picture and sound parameters, as well as determine the time of inactivity, after which the screen will automatically go into sleep mode. so the user can save on energy and extend the life of the TV.
If several laptops are connected to the TV at once, you can select the signal source from the main menu, moving between the HDMI, VGA, RGB, Scart and other sections available.
You can connect a laptop to a TV either using wires or through a home Wi-Fi network. On the TV set, you need to enter the section “Wireless networks”, select your network and enter the access code; on a laptop. find a new screen in the “DisPlay” subsection of the “Windows Settings” menu. Usually no additional settings are required for the further functioning of the technique.
What sockets are needed for a TV and how much?
Currently, a TV in an apartment is the most important component of a multimedia system, which allows you not only to watch standard terrestrial or cable channels, but also: go online, use game consoles, view photo and content from mobile devices and much more.
Often, it is even difficult for many to imagine exactly how they will use the TV in the future, what functions will be especially in demand and, accordingly, what communications need to be connected to the TV, what sockets to make.
Now I will tell you what exactly the minimum necessary communications and sockets are being made for televisions at the present time. it will be a certain standard that, I believe, everyone should have.
I will make a reservation right away that I am considering only options for those who, having made repairs and replacing the wiring of electrical and low-current networks, want to forget about further changes for a long time and just use the TV, no matter what signal transmission conditions are used for this.
Minimum required sockets for a modern TV
Electrical outlet. 2pcs.
Internet socket (RJ45). 1 piece.
The days when the TV for full operation only needed an electrical outlet, to which it actually connected, are over. And the reason for this is not only the gradually changing standard of TV signal transmission from analog to digital, but the tendency to reduce the number of various hanging wires and auxiliary devices in apartments, such as a room TV antenna, spoiling the interior.
Modern digital television, no matter what provider offers it to you, most often requires an additional set-top box for operation, and if you decide to install a satellite dish, you will need a receiver. Therefore, it is imperative that two electrical outlets are laid, one for the TV, the other for an additional set-top box, which will probably have to be used.
TV socket, to which a standard antenna cable (coaxial) is connected, is often used to connect the TV to an outdoor terrestrial antenna or cable TV.
Even if you firmly decided to use only digital television, you also need to connect an ordinary antenna to the TV, because in case of an accident with your provider or a malfunction of the equipment, with it you can view standard terrestrial channels (transmitted by radio waves in airspace and received by the antenna).
The antenna cable to the outlet is most often supplied from a low-current control box, which is found in almost any modern apartment. most often it is located under an electrical panel. If you do not have a low-current switchboard, lead the coaxial cable to the TV-outlet, from the place where it will be switched with the input TV cable, it is often SIMply taken out to the entrance, or directly to the individual terrestrial antenna.
An Internet socket (Rj45), most often used to receive a digital TV signal, often an additional digital set-top box is connected to it, which is provided by your provider.
Less often, through it, some TV models are connected directly to the Internet, which allows you to go online, watch. or online TV channels and much more.
A twisted pair (internet cable) is connected to the internet socket, which comes from the router. Please note that you do not need to pull the Internet cable from the low-current switchboard, but it must be brought in exactly from where the router of your provider will be, from the place where the signal of the input Internet cable will, using the router, be divided into all Internet sockets of the apartment.
Such a set of sockets for a TV is currently the optimal minimum and in most cases will allow you to connect a TV to any TV provider, or watch terrestrial channels, without any changes or additions to the wiring.
I recommend doing this option if the TV, most often, will be used specifically for watching TV programs and no additional equipment will be connected to it, such as in the kitchen.
For a TV in a living room or living room, there is a different formula for TV sockets.
TV SOCKETS IN THE HALL
Electrical outlet. 1pc.
If additional equipment, dvd player, computer, game console, audio receiver, home theater, etc. will be connected to the TV. the composition of the sockets for the TV and their location will be slightly different.
Most often, the presence of additional equipment also implies a place for its installation next to the TV, namely various consoles, cabinets, cabinets, etc. Therefore, all additional electrical outlets are made there, and one is enough behind the TV.
We make a TV socket and an Internet socket (RJ45), according to the same scheme as described above and for the same reasons.
Multimedia outlet is a rather broad concept, it’s not so SIMple here, I’ll try to explain.
The main task facing us is to connect the TV to other devices, while depending on the specific equipment, completely different interfaces can be used, with different cables, connectors, plugs, etc.
Recently, almost all multimedia devices have HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) in their arsenal. At the same time, HDMI cables are used to connect, with their help you can connect almost any modern audio.devices to the TV, and the TV itself always has several HDMI connectors.
The main drawback or weak point when choosing exactly this type and number of sockets for a TV is this multimedia outlet. It may happen that your equipment will not have an HDMI connector, or the HDMI cable laid during repairs will fail, because it may have to be periodically plugged into various devices, as needed.
To avoid all these problems, instead of a specific multimedia socket, it is necessary to make a channel to the equipment location during the repair phase. As a channel, you can use, for example, a plumbing sewer pipe with a diameter of 32 mm, a SIMilar corrugated pipe or a cable channel 30×20.
It is better if such a channel will enter directly into the socket, and then you can install a cable outlet there. This option will allow you to lay any required communications to the TV at any time, while all the wires will be hidden.
What is a cable outlet, what it looks like and what it is for, you can read HERE.
At the installation site of all the rest of the equipment, usually under the TV, a block of several electrical outlets is made, at least four pieces, in addition, at least one or two Internet sockets are installed, twisted pairs from which are laid to the router and one post is occupied by a cable outlet connected with the same channel behind the TV in the wall.
In order to save some money on specialized sockets and space in the block of outlets, I advise you not to install separate TV and Internet sockets, but SIMply put the required cables into one socket (in this case, an antenna cable, coaxial and Internet cable, twisted pair ) and install the cable outlet. Cables should be made with a margin of length, then the corresponding plugs are put on their ends, which are connected directly to the TV.
Thus, we avoid the need to buy additional connecting wires, get rid of unnecessary connections that negatively affect the quality and reliability of the contact, we have to make fewer sockets in the wall and buy fewer specialized, usually expensive, wiring devices like TV-, audio-, hdmi- and internet sockets.
In order to correctly choose the height of installation of sockets for the TV on the wall, be sure to read THIS material. in which we calculated the most optimal distance from the floor to the sockets for TV, and in addition, we derived a formula by which we can independently calculate this value for each specific case.
If you still have questions, suggestions or comments on TV sockets, their number, composition, etc. be sure to write in the comments to the article, I will try to answer everyone promptly.
