People learn to use such opportunities, for example, as a result of light shaking of the phone, it begins to read the information presented on it. The keys that you press are voiced and make it possible to read the message. On the letter, you need to hold the movement for a couple of seconds and then it is pronounced. How to disable talkback on an Android device
.gif “/ Sometimes, out of curiosity, novice users of the Android operating system decide to try out what the talkback function is or activate it quite by accident. As a result of unusual changes in the use of a smartphone or tablet, it is often extremely problematic to return to the previous functionality. Breeders, as a rule, do not attach a detailed description this opportunity, leaving everything to the intuitive mastering by the owner of the technical device.
In order not to waste several hours or even days on fruitless struggle with your device, first familiarize yourself with the features of the talkback program. Knowing its location and setting details for your Android model, you can easily return to your usual settings.
Turn off with one touch
If you did not have the instant on / off talkback function enabled by default, then you can do it in one action in the following ways:
- Press the power button without removing your finger until you hear a distinctive audible alert or feel vibration. Then press two fingers to the screen, holding for about 4-5 seconds. A beep will tell you when talkback has been disabled.
- Press and hold both fingers on the two phone volume buttons (usually located on the edge of the device) until you hear a beep.
Now you can either disable an unwanted function or enable it in the same instant way at any time convenient for you.
Why is this feature needed
.gif “/ The Talkback program was created as a special feature for people with impaired or no vision. It makes it a little easier to work with the phone and sounds almost all the actions of the owner. This function is convenient for those who previously worked only with computers, because the control becomes similar at the click of the mouse.
One-touch keys and typing using the keyboard are voiced. The program also notifies about incoming calls, and when you shake it, it can start reading out all the information that the screen displays.
If you hold your finger on one of the letters for a few seconds, then the talkback will first pronounce the letter itself, and then the word that begins with it. This option helps to better understand certain sounds by ear for error-free message typing. Among other devices, talkback is useful with audio prompts, which provide background information on certain objects on the phone. It is also possible to execute commands with gestures and synthesize human speech into text.
How management has changed
Like standard clicks of a computer mouse, first of all, the user needs to select the desired object on the monitor. with one touch. Interaction with it begins with a double quick click.
To scroll the menu list, the browser page up or down, or to scroll left or right in the menu, you need to drag the screen to the desired direction by touching it with two fingers. The screen will not respond to a single touch!
Removing the screen lock also happens according to this principle: press the pads of two fingers to the base of the screen and, without releasing, gently pull up. You may need to enter a password to unlock. A similar method is to double-click on the unlock button at the bottom of the screen, in the very center. In doing so, sometimes you need to follow the voice instructions.
Below is the most common algorithm suitable for most device versions:
- Double-click to enter the main menu;
- Find the settings icon and activate it with a double click;
- Scroll the list (holding the screen with two fingers) to the “System” section;
- Open “Accessibility” by double click and find the section “Services”;
- Open the talkback subsection, there you will see a short description and an on / off button (located in the upper right corner of the screen);
- Double-click the toggle switch to the off position to disable the function;
- In the appeared window “Stop talkback service?” press the “ok” button by quickly touching it twice.
What to do if you have a different model
Different versions of Android have different types of menus, which is why the path to disable this service may differ. If your version is Android 4.0 or earlier, then you will need to install a special Accessibility Preferences application. Only then will the standard path and the TalkBack Preferences menu be available. It is he who will allow you to disable this special feature.
For Samsung Android devices with a user interface called TouchWiz, there is a slightly different menu sequence. First, you need to look into the settings and find “My device” there. From there, following the standard scheme, go into accessibility, where you can turn off “Talkback”. This path is located in Android 4.3 and older.
Unfortunately, not all Samsung smartphones provide the necessary item for changing the ringtone. As a result, there are difficulties with making edits to the established ringtone. Many do not know how to change the melody to SMS on Samsung due to the fact that they do not see this option in the settings. Most Android phones have the ability to change the ringtones for calendar, alarm and call. This is inconvenient, because several different notifications can have the same signal.
To fix this problem, you can install the Ring Extended program. After installing it, go to the Notification Sounds section, and then Notifications Messages. After entering the section, several options open. One of them is the name of our program. Check the box next to Current ringtone in the software, and then click the Media rington section.
After completing this work, the melodies that are on the phone open. Check OK and enjoy your new SMS ringtone on Samsung

Solved: Using Custom Sounds for Notifications (Samsung Galaxy S9)
I have been using Samsung Galaxy products for over ten years now and have recently (ish) updated to Galaxy S9.
Overall the experience was good, but there is one aspect of the phone that I could tweak in previous versions, but not this one for some reason: notification sounds.
Now, I don’t mean picking a sound I like from their list of preloaded sounds, like any reference guide Google can find, I mean. I mean actually downloading a new sound to the phone and making it available for notifications, just like you can do with ringtones and alarm sounds.
It used to be that simple: anything in the Music or Ringtones folder could be specified as a notification sound (or a warning sound, I think they were called before).
Now I can’t even find the directory that the preloaded sounds are in!
This may seem like a really trivial problem, but it gives me a lot of problems knowing which incoming texts I need to pay attention to immediately and which ones I can ignore for later. So if anyone knows how to properly implement custom notification sounds ( or if it is completely impossible), let me know!
(Yes, and also: any news about the “assign specific tones to specific contacts, not specific conversations” fiasco?)
Solved: How to change alarm sound
Look down where the alarm sounds.
Click on the beep that leads to.
My advice comes from the fact that I am a UK Samsung phone owner.
I am not affiliated with Samsung.

The simplest solution to change SMS ringtone on Samsung is to use the settings section. Immediately, we note that this method allows you to install only the built-in sound that has already been added to a special folder. Below we will see how to do this job and expand the list of available options.
- go to Settings;
- go to Applications;
- select Messages from the list provided;
- go to the Notifications section, and there click on the Sound button.
Some phones may have two items New messages for slot 1 and slot 2 (depending on the SIM card on which you want to put the SMS melody).
Now select a ringtone from the list offered by the system. If none of the options suits you, you can put your own tunes on Samsung. How to do it correctly, we will consider below.
Another way to add SMS ringtone on Samsung is to enter the Play Store and type SMS Ringtones in the search bar. The system brings up several applications offering a large selection of files for a message. It remains to choose one of the proposed options and put it on SMS in Samsung.
For convenience, such programs have several categories, namely whistle, short, funny, etc. If you wish, you can change the melody at least every day. This method is versatile and will work for all Android devices. At the same time, you don’t have to look for other solutions and waste time searching for Samsung ringtones.
Basic gestures and their meaning in smartphone control
Regardless of the Android version, provided manual navigation is supported, the following types of gestures can be distinguished that are present on any modern smartphone:
|Touching||Opening applications, programs, printing texts, etc.|
|Double tap||For launching applications, fast zooming and other preset functions.|
|Long press||Opening additional functions or menus (analogous to the right mouse button in Windows).|
|Swipe (swipe)||Performs the function of scrolling or scrolling through the required information. With appropriate Android settings, swiping diagonally will unlock the screen.|
|Dragging||The function is used to copy, move files.|
|Pinching and spreading fingers||Used to change the scale of pictures, text, etc.|
|Change screen orientation||Rotary movement of the hand leads to automatic change of the screen orientation: portrait or landscape. This makes working with the device more convenient. This function must be activated in the settings.|
Android 10 brought a lot of surprises, including the departure from the three-button system, the ability to disable it and duplication “manual”. The firmware assumes proprietary circuits. Many mobile device manufacturers have supported and created their designs. Including gesture control on Samsung has undergone changes. The manufacturer has slightly changed the essence of the manipulations, which are presented in the proprietary One UI firmware. At the moment, the firmware is available only to owners of flagship models of Samsung smartphones, but the manufacturer announced information that it will be installed on all of the company’s products. Additional touch navigation contains buttons:
|“Home”||Available in any application and on any screen. It is enough to swipe up and down on the screen, and you will be taken to the main window of the smartphone.|
|“Back”||To return to the previous window, you need to slide your finger along the edge of the display: to the right (up to a third of the height). The same gesture closes applications.|
|See a list of running applications (active)||Swipe from bottom to top in the left third of the display edge.|
|Multitasking||Swipe up on the display, quickly tap on it.|
|Google Assistant (when the physical Home button is unavailable)||Swipe down on any corner of the touchpad.|
Which Samsung smartphones have gesture control features?
The availability of this option depends on the model and firmware version of the South Korean manufacturer. That is, this feature is not present on all devices. You can check the availability of the function:
- open the settings tab;
- select “Additional functions”;
- the section should have a button that allows you to activate this type of control. Here you can make additional settings for the option, choosing more convenient.
Depending on the Samsung model and Android firmware, the location of the option may differ. For example, in the section with the “Navigation bar”. Here you can switch between navigation using the three buttons and go to “manual”. Switch to navigation with finger swipes on the display to free up space and watch videos without borders and restrictions.
How to control a Samsung smartphone using gestures?
Gesture control is a convenient and modern navigation tool. Manufacturers are constantly adding functionality to gestures, trying to rid devices of the usual three buttons. In addition to the standard features, the smartphone can be “trained” with additional ones. Let’s figure it out: how to properly control gestures on Samsung, how wide the range of possibilities is, and whether you can expand it yourself.
How to enable Samsung gesture control?
The trend towards the abandonment of the three familiar navigation buttons demonstrated by the iPhone makers has been supported by the South Korean company as well. Now you can use the gadget with just one hand. To do this, you need to swipe from one side of the display with two fingers. a menu with icons located along the edge will become available. This will allow the owner to hold the phone with one hand, with a finger to switch between icons. To activate gesture control on Samsung:
- go to smartphone settings;
- find the item “Display”. “Navigation panel”;
- switching is carried out in the “Type of navigation” section.
Samsung‘s new firmware offers a “manual” control scheme that is not quite familiar to users. In order not to get confused in intricacies, you can activate hints. They will be shown as translucent stripes at the bottom. The show is carried out separately for each movement. Here you can also change the location of the buttons. The tips will help you understand not only the purpose of a particular movement, but also show a specific area responsible for activation. Users of the new firmware note that at first the innovation seemed inconvenient and illogical to them. But getting used to it happens quickly, after three days you will no longer need prompts.
detailed instructions on how to use the new Samsung navigation system can be viewed in the video.
Button Touch problem
- Function button connector and charging connector. Now check.
- If it still doesn’t work, check the charging connector if it’s problematic. Change it as there is nothing you can do in this case.
The above steps will surely help you solve the touch screen problem from your Samsung Galaxy in the most efficient way. If your touchscreen is giving you problems, then your phone has become a complete krippler as you won’t be able to do anything on your phone (don’t even unlock your phone in any way).
Let Your Phone Relax
Samsung Galaxy touchscreen malfunction can be stopped by preventing overload. The phone tends to freeze if it is overloaded with work, unlike other phones, which quickly heat up or drain the battery. It just freezes. Most users mistakenly accept the solution to the touchscreen problem, while in reality most of the internal parts of the phone are deadlocked. This can happen if you have been playing games or filming videos for a very long time. Wait a while before using the phone again.
Defective GPU. If you’re using your Galaxy for gaming, your graphics processing unit (GPU) may be stretched to its limits. To clear those dead pixels, you need to clear the RAM cache, close all running applications and restart your phone.
Boot Phone in Safe Mode
This is another helpful step to get rid of touchscreen issues if it is some third party application causing the problem. Safe Mode temporarily disables all third-party apps, and if you are not experiencing an issue in this mode, it must be a third-party app causing this problem.
To boot your phone in safe mode, follow these steps:
Now press the power button for a few seconds until the Samsung Galaxy logo appears
Then release the power key and press the volume down button. The phone will be restarted.
Continue to hold this button until the phone restarts.
It will show safe mode in the lower left corner of the phone.
Once you are convinced that these are the third-party apps that are causing this problem, uninstall them by going to Settings App Application manager swipe through the downloaded options select the desired app Uninstall and finally click OK. If you have a lot of apps, uninstalling them one at a time can take a long time, so you can do a factory reset (explained below).
Clear Phone Cache
Another solution to the problem is to delete the cache. Here’s how to do it.
Press and hold the Home button and Volume Down button and then press the Power button
Keep holding the buttons and when the Samsung logo appears, release the power button but hold the Home button and Volume Down button
When you see the Android logo, release the other two buttons
The message “Installing a system update” appears and the recovery screen appears.
To highlight the “Wipe cache partition” use the volume down key and press the power button to select it.
When done, use the Volume Down key again to highlight the Reboot System Now option and select it with the Power button.

Screen insensitivity is usually caused by a system glitch, be it software or hardware. The software problem will be easier to fix. Some of the reasons for an unresponsive screen are:
Your Samsung Galaxy phone is frozen, frozen;
There is an error in one of the hardware inside the device.
Why is the sensor not working on Samsung? Fixing in 10 ways
Samsung Galaxy phones, especially Samsung Galaxy S3, S4 and S5, are known for their problematic screens. Many users either have a blank screen, a black screen, despite the fact that the phone is fully charged, return or unidentified dots have stopped on the screen. If you’ve just bought one of these models and you’re thinking, don’t worry. In this article, we will tell you the reasons for these crashes, how you can get your data back, and how to fix the screens. The most common problem is Samsung’s sensor is not working. Let’s figure out how to fix it.
The touch screen of the phone is completely unresponsive to touch. What to do?
What to do if double-clicking occurs when you left-click, how to disable it in Windows settings
On this page, you will find information on what to do if the left mouse button is pressed twice. There are several reasons why there is a double click of a computer mouse button instead of one, and several ways to remove a double click of the mouse. Basically, there are two reasons, the first is a system error is corrected by disabling double-clicking in Windows, the second is mechanical.
First of all, let’s see how to disable double-clicking on Windows through the device manager. That is, a system error, a problem in the driver or something else due to which errors occur in the operation of a computer mouse, including a double click. You can get to Device Manager in different ways on different versions of Windows, so I’ll show you the path that should work for all Windows.
To get into the task manager, we need to do the following:
Open “This computer”, then in the window that opens, click on any empty space with the right mouse button and in the menu that opens, select the item “Properties” in the window that opens, select “Device Manager”.
In the device manager, we find the item “Mice and other pointing devices” where we select “HID-compatible mouse” and then we see information about the operation of the mouse. To fix errors in the operation of the mouse, we can try to update the driver by selecting “Driver”. If this does not help and the most suitable driver for you, then try disabling and enabling the device or removing the mouse. To do this, in the device manager, right-click on the “HID-compatible mouse” and in the menu that opens, select “Remove device” or “Disable device”. If you turned off the mouse, then to turn it on, follow the same action, and if you removed the mouse on the computer, then pull the mouse wire out of the connector and reinsert it, after which the mouse will be installed anew. For those who have a mouse connected via a Bluetooth adapter, after removal, you need to pull the mouse adapter out of the connector on the computer or laptop and reinsert it for a new installation. If this method did not help you solve the problem with a double click of the mouse button instead of one, then it may be a mechanical problem, see the solution below.
If the option above did not help to remove the double-click of the computer mouse, then most likely the problem is mechanical in the mouse itself, or rather in the button we press. My Genius wireless mouse works with a Bluetooth adapter, the problem was in the left button. A possible reason for double-clicking is several years of active use, after repair the mouse works normally. This method involves parsing the mouse and the button itself, and this is a slightly complicated procedure and you may not succeed, or perhaps the reason may be different. Therefore, if you are not confident in yourself, then you should not try, so as not to completely break the device. Here I will describe and add pictures of how I disassembled and repaired the mouse.
And so I opened the mouse by unscrewing only one screw located in the battery compartment and carefully opened the device so as not to break other latches (I will not describe in detail since mice are different, some screws are at the bottom and several). Next, we see a board (look at the pictures attached below) on which the scroll wheel and mouse buttons are located, in my case there are three of them. right button, left button and scroll wheel button. Attention! be sure to remember exactly how everything was before you start to disassemble the mouse and the button itself, since then it will not be easy to return everything as it was, you can even take large pictures and view it later.
Now we need to open the button that makes a double click. On the button itself, there are small hooks on the sides, opening which we open the button covers. Be careful, there will be a plastic upper part of the button, which can immediately fall out and get lost, on my mouse it is red, you may have it in a different color, for example, white. Now, inside the button, you can see a copper plate strongly curved inward, which is why double pressing occurs.
We need to carefully remove this plate from the grooves, for example, with tweezers, straighten the bent place a little, and then reinsert it. The most difficult thing in this process seemed to me to insert the plate back into place. Be sure to remember how it is installed in the grooves, since the grooves are very small and you can install it a little wrong, after which the button will not work at all and you will have to pull out and insert the plate into place again. After collecting the button, check by clicking on it, you should feel a slight click when you press the button like on other adjacent buttons. If you don’t feel it, then something you did wrong, check the button assembly. Putting the mouse in reverse order. Everything worked out for me and now the mouse works without double clicks and no longer annoys me when working with a laptop.
